Iconic 115-foot lighthouse grounds with sweeping ocean views, the original Fresnel lens in the Fog Signal Building, small exhibits, short walks, wildlife spotting, and seasonal ranger programs
Why parents might like it
This is a “quick wow stop” more than an all-day destination: lighthouse photos, a short walk to the viewpoint, lens/exhibits if open, and maybe whales, seals, or otters if you’re lucky. Great for kids who like waves and big views.
Before you go
The tower is closed during restoration, so you cannot climb it. Parking can be tight and some paths are gravel or uneven. Bring layers for wind/fog; keep younger kids close near bluff edges. Dogs and drones are not allowed.
